Barack Obama has already held more re-election fundraising events than every elected president since Richard Nixon combined, according to figures to be published in a new book.
Heck, Obama was holding multiple $35,000 a pop fundraising events in a single day… back in 2011.
Obama’s dining begins with a $35,800-a-couple “Medina Brunch with Barack” on Sunday morning at the Medina home of former Microsoft COO Jon Shirley. The guest list, limited to 50 couples, will get photos with the 44th President and get to ask questions.
Obama then moves to the Paramount Theater for a lunch with a menu designed by celebrity chef Tom Douglas.
The lunch costs $1,000, $2,500 for preferred seating, and $7,500 to have your picture taken with the President. Couples can have their pictures taken with Obama for $10,000.
The pattern is much the same in the Bay Area. Obama will travel to the Atherton, Calif., home of Facebook COO Cheryl Sandberg for a $35,800 a couple dinner. He will also attend a San Francisco reception hosted by former Symantec board chairman John W. Thompson.
The Thompson-sponsored event will set guests back $2,500, with the same photo setup — $7,500 for yourself, or $10,000 with your spouse or sweetie.
Obama has four events (including another $35,800-a-couple dinner) scheduled on Monday in Southern California.
So while the Occupy creeps start heating up their activities heading in to the summer months, they should be aware the 1% they claim to stand against is the same 1% that is funding Obama’s re-election campaign.
Yes, occupiers, 2+2 does equal 4.
