On his HBO show Real Time, Bill Maher asks and answers the question, “Would it be better if the [US] just got over this notion of American exceptionalism? Oh, I think it would.”
Here’s the video, if you can stand it:
Maher said he thinks in a hundred years or so, the United States will be a Mormon nation because many people will certainly be turned on to an America-centric religion that pretty much makes the country out to be one big shining city on a hill. Also, as Maher succinctly put it, “it’s a stupid religion and a stupid country, they were made for each other.”
Remember, this is the guy who wants the Occupy movement to be the left’s version of the Tea Party.
For the record, there is no law that requires Bill Mahar to remain in this “stupid country.” He is free to travel to any of the other countries that operate according to his beliefs.
I hear Cuba is quite lovely, actually. I’m sure they’d treat him well there, as long as he did what he was told.
