Harrison ‘Han Solo’ Ford Hurt Worse Than First Reported on the Set of the New ‘Star Wars’ Movie

I can’t resist. I have to wish for actor Harrison Ford that “The Force Be With You.”

After undergoing surgery, Ford is recovering from an on-set injury that, it’s now revealed, was worse than first reported. From the website thewrap.com:

The Millennium Falcon’s betrayal of Han Solo was worse than initially thought.

Earlier this month,Harrison Fordwas said to have broken his ankle when the door of his famous ship fell on his leg on the set of “Star Wars Episode VII.” Now it turns out that the 71 year-old actor suffered a broken leg, which required more intense medical care, as reported by the BBC.

“Harrison’s left leg was broken in the accident,” his rep, Ina Treciokas, confirmed to TheWrap. “His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He’s doing well and looks forward to returning to work.”

Disney has also confirmed that shooting on the massive J.J. Abrams film will remain on schedule as Ford recuperates, which is reported to be up to an eight week stretch.

Doggone, but movie-making can be risky business, especially for a 71 year-old actor.
