A British woman has been convicted of ‘perjury and perverting the course of justice‘ for fabricating 15 sexual assault allegations against innocent men, leading to the imprisonment of one for 7 years.
According to prosecutors, the individual identified as 25-year-old Jemma Beale made ‘grotesque inventions’ of rape and sexual assault against the innocent men involved over a three year period until authorities came to the conclusion that it was “inherently improbable” she was attacked so frequently.
Speaking on the bizarre case, London Crown Prosecution Service Lawyer Samuel Main stated that “Beale was a determined liar who repeatedly went to great lengths to fabricate evidence in an attempt to see innocent men convicted.”
As reported by The Sun, all of Beale’s claims were against strangers with the exception of one in which she accused an individual that she actually knew.
From alleging that she was attacked at a pub, outside her home and gang raped by a group of men in the street, Beale claimed over the three year period that she was ‘sexually assaulted’ by six and ‘raped’ by nine.

Beale’s first allegation was against Mahad Cassim, who had given her a lift home after a night out. He was charged with rape and jailed for seven years.
But prosecutor John Price QC said: “That was a wrongful conviction. Mahad Cassim was innocent.
“The person responsible for the grave injustice was the defendant, through her false allegation and perjured evidence. She maintains that falsity still.”
He added: “Each of her reports was entirely false.”
Going into some detail, Price stated that Beale went as far as alleging she was “sexually assaulted by four men with a piece of barbed wire in an alley” in July of 2012.
Highlighting the serious nature of Beale’s false allegations, Main stated that:
“False allegations of sexual assault and rape are rare but, when made, they are serious as they undermine the credibility of genuine victims and the efforts of the CPS and police to see perpetrators brought to justice.”
From 2010 to 2013, Beale claimed that she was sexually assaulted by six men and raped by nine — all of them strangers – in four different encounters, prosecutors said.
But it was later discovered that the 25-year-old had a steady boyfriend with whom she had a sexual relationship, Main said.
Beale’s stories fell apart after medical records, testimonies from witnesses and CCTV footage showed she was lying.
In one false claim from 2012, Beale said she was attacked by four men in an alley with a piece of barb wire. But jurors were shown footage of her walking home alone and were told by prosecutors that the injuries were self-inflicted.
“After Beale made another allegation in November 2013, the police reviewed all of her previous claims, and discovered a clear and sustained pattern of willful falsification,” Main said in a statement.
Beale faces sentencing for her crimes in August.
